C.1890, French, gravity timepiece, lever movement, uncommon novelty. Condition: Polished red marble timepiece case is in nice condition with a very small chip on the back edge. Dial is signed ÒBristol Goldsmith AllianceÓ. They may have been the vendors of this object. The movement rides on a ratchet bar that is supported by a mahogany, two column portico. The wood part of the case is in very nice condition with some minor scratches and dings. The movement is in running condition. This timepiece comes with a glass bell jar serving as a dome (looks OK). A well made clock in running order. Height of clock 14.5Ò, with dome 17 inches
