Condition: This is a nicely made mahogany copy of an early 19th Century banjo timepiece, done around 50 years ago, using the best of materials. The gilt work on the door and throat panel is in pretty good condition with some minor damage to the gesso. The weight movement is a very well made copy of a Willard T bridge model. The bottom tablet depicts Paul Revere on his mid-night ride, with the old North Church in the background. Johnson was obviously an excellent mechanic; perhaps someone else knows of his work. /?/ This clock really looks 175 years old. We are estimating this far less than a Stennes, but feel it has the potential to bring several times this amount Height 33.5 inches
