C.1890, German, ÒSWINGING CATÓ timepiece, 8-day. The movement contained within a painted tin barrel, painted to look like wood. The pendulum is a cat with red bandanna, swinging front to back, a string from the pendulum to a monkeyÕs arm which makes it look like the monkey is swinging the cat. Condition: the cat and the monkey have some minor paint loss and a little oxidation, but are absolutely original. This clock is in overall very good original condition. Height 12.5inches
