Ansonia Clock Co. Royal Bonn clock, "La Plata", ca 1904. Very rare, large, unusual decorated case. The case is signed and marked in every way the German case makers signed them; the red Royal Bonn stamp, the name "La Plata" fired into the case, various numbers and letters meaning some-thing to the case makers. This is a great looking case with ruby, green and blue tints, and the usual gold accents. At the top is a lions head, feet with cherub faces, open loops on the side, and the most rare scene of Holland women on the front. This is a near perfect case, clean inside and out, running, and has all the usual attributes, open escape, 2 piece dial, correct back door, pendulum, and running. Ly-Ansonia, page 605.
