Vienna Regulator, ca 1880's, three quarter size or dwarf, usually means the pendulum and dial are oversized for length of case. Approx. 36 inches high and 16 inches wide. The case has a few repaired hairline cracks and I believe it has been refinished at one time; the color is a very dark mahogany to black. All glasses are good, case very tight and sturdy with brass stabilizers at bottom. The movement is 8 day, dead beat escapement, triple wind. This is an interesting set up; this Grande Sonnerie movement runs by a single weight for the time, both striking mechanisms are spring wound. Unusual to see three key holes and one weight. The movement is wood shelf mounted, over-sized two piece dial, oversized pendulum bob; hands, weight are old and in good shape. Runs and strikes properly.
