It is very similar to a group of clocks Ansonia made, such as the King, Carlos, and a half dozen others. The nice original walnut case is 23.5 inches high, has very nice carvings, applied lions heads on the base, turned columns that are gooved. The paper dial is very old but not signed, no label but evidence of one inside. 8 day movement is signed, strikes hours on a brass bell, running. Original glass held with the original factory putty.
