25 inches high mahogany veneered case. Few small pieces of veneer missing. Repair at top of door. Lock and key intact; replaced mirror, original dial pan, old repaint. Partial label reads, "Improved patent brass clocks made and sold by Atkins & Porter." 30 hour, 2 weight, time and strike movement; weights and pendulum old. Atkins and Porter movements are noted for having an unusual half hour striking mechanism. Clock runs and strikes. Ref. American Clockmakers by Sonya & Thomas Spittler, Chris Bailey, page 18.
