This is a very nice medium oak case, 23 inches high, 16.5 inches wide. Made in the broken arch style, there are grooved designs across the top, applied ornaments and etchings on the front and sides, full columns, turned bases, carved capitals, other carvings on the top. There are two large side glasses for viewing the movement. Locks on both doors, with key. The back door is full size, wood frame around glass. 4 large bun feet. Large dial is 11 inches high, 8.5 inches wide, silver dial ring, etched designs all over. Subsidiary dials for "Chime-Silent" and "Slow-Fast". The dial is signed, "Webster, Queen Victoria St., London. 17676." The large triple chain fusee movement is rather typical of most English bracket clocks, large solid plate movements, strikes quarters on 5 very large iron coil gongs. There is a small sticker in the case, "85682 Chime". This is a very handsome bracket clock that has been serviced, is running and striking properly, comes with a large key. You can always tell the clocks that have spent practically their entire existence in one home or business.
