Darche Mfg. Co. Chicago, "Reminder Clock", ca 1917, in a tambour style case.

A battery in the base of the case runs the reminder portion of this clock, and would ring a bell, also in the base at the designated time. As you will note there are 10 holes on the front of the base that held little pins when not in use. The many holes around the clock face are slots where the little pinswere placed at the time you wanted to be "reminded" of something. The 8 day movement, probably a Waterbury, most were, is running, but has nothing to do with the other function. The oak case is 13.5 inches wide, 12.5 inches. The clock winds and sets in back.
