Probably made by an enterprising American craftsman, using and old Waterbury Clock Co. 8 day time and strike movement. It is a pendulum movement, strikes half hours on a bell, and hours on a gong. The 35 inch oak case is almost the size of the early mouse clocks. Someone was very ingenious the way they made several extra gears to wind the mouse back up, and to let it fall at the right time.
