Green onyx top and base is basically very good. I think one can overlook the tiny chigger bites as I like to call them, that you always find on the edges of onyx and marble clocks. Really of no concern but I like to call what I see before the buyer finds them. There are no breaks or chips in the onyx and only one small hairline in the 2 piece porcelain dial. Hands, open escapement, gong, dial rings, all clean and original to this clock. Highly unusual, no chips on the 4 beveled glasses. Movement is 8 day, hour and half hour strike on a standing gong, running nicely. Case is 13 inches high, a nice case style that we almost never see. Ly-Ansonia #391.
