Ca 1845-1853. The walnut case is 13.5 inches wide, wood dial is almost 9.5 inch across. Bowed wood dial is excellent, bowed glass with a good part of original putty. Most of their galleries were gold gilt, no evidence this ever had gilt. Several interesting labels inside under the movement. A pretty nice full label by the maker, over what was a full paper covering of the backboard, now only with remnants. A small label of some person in Maine. 8 day, all brass, east-west movement with stepped back plate. Held in the case with 4 large screws and one mounting block. You could write a book about this early clock, but I suggest you read the reference material where the movement and case is pictured and discussed.
