The glass is covered with a flat glass in a brass bezel that fastens into the case like our short drop clocks; a metal tab locks it in place. The glass is probably a replacement because no one can install them tight like the early craftsmen. 15.5 inch walnut gallery case has been refinished and lacquered to protect the nice wood grain and to give it a shine. There is a bottom trap door to access the pendulum. 8 day time and strike movement is running. 2 hammers strike 2 long rods on half hours and hours. Pendulum included.
