This large 25 inches high black walnut case has never been cleaned, and is now pretty dark from smoke accumulation. There is no damage or repairs to the case. If the new paper dial had not been added, this clock would be 100% original and look exactly like #423 in Ly-Welch; the glass, pendulum, hands, everything. The old glass is magnificent; especially when you consider the fact it is over 120 years old. The characters are a farmer and an artist. The movement, of course, is 8 day, striking a wire bell on the half hours and hours, and will hardly stop running. There is also an alarm that strikes a brass bell.
