Nice original clock with good Welch label on the back. This clock has the "Patti" time and strike movement. Welch named this series of clocks after opera singers, this one after Hungarian soprano "Eteika Gerster". The minute hand was replaced, one finial on top restored properly plus the original dial has flaking. 18.5 inches high, fancy polished black walnut case with good glasses. These clocks are bringing strong prices at auctions across the country; usually over 2,000 dollars plus buyer's premium. Clock needs to be serviced. Ly-Welch #283.
