Condition: Very pretty oval engraved gilt and painted brass case in nice condition with wear to the dark painted finish and gilding. Porcelain dial is very nice with a slight amount of damage at the two mounting pins. Hands are original. Oval shaped movement with platform (cylinder) escapement is set and wound by removing the rear cover. The underside of the base is marked "Depose". Runs but is sluggish. Height 6.25 inches
