C.1875 French, Morbier wall clock, double dial 8-day time and strike (made up). Condition: This large size movement with a verge escapement is in very clean condition. The movement was rather skillfully converted to a double dial by the addition of a dial and motion work from a later clock and connected with handmade universal joints. The later dial has hairline cracks and the embossed bezel has damage. The dial to the main movement has hairline cracks and some chips on the outer edge. Hands to the movement are original. Access doors to the movement are original. There is a foldable pendulum with this clock, but the pendulum disk has been flattened from its original convex shape. There are no weights with this movement, but they are obtainable from Merritt's for about $20.00 each. Movement is otherwise clean and complete. A conversation item as is, or convert back to regular clock. Height 16 inches
