C.1860, English, John Bell, Burnley, 2-Fusee, bell strike skeleton clock, less dome, on wood base. Condition: this clock has stood sometime without a dome or cover and brass has darkened and needs cleaning-polishing. The fusee chains are now replaced with cable. These things aside, the attractive scroll frame is complemented by delicate 4 and 6 spoke wheel-work throughout. Pendulum is original, has been squeezed at crutch pin and needs adjust. The engraved and silvered dial with the name of either the jewelry store or maker "John Bell, Burnley". Dial needs re-silvering. Has no corrosion and will clean up nicely. Height 17.5 inches (44.5cm)
