Condition: This clock is in excellent original condition. Key wind, 2-tune music box plays at will by pulling a cord, and it plays after the strike is complete on the hour. Lively tunes are stopping just a little before the end of the tune, and the hour arm is not dropping reliably, however the manual actuation works perfectly. Eli Terry was turning out Scrolls in Terryville when this clock was made in Austria, and it shows the high standards that the Austrians were trying to achieve. The gilt plinth is surrounded by a silvered brass facade depicting winged ladies feeding grapes to lions, and young nudes. The gilt columns are wrapped in silvered garlands. A silvered lyre stands behind the pendulum and acts as the standard for the gong. Silk thread suspension. Roman numerals on silvered dial are re-painted and worn again. With original dome intact. Height 19 inches
