C.1895, Eastman Clock Co., Boston, 8-day weight office regulator timepiece, serial No. 565.

23 October 2024
Condition: Tastefully refinished oak case is in very clean condition. This model is virtually identical the Chelsea No. 1 Pendulum regulator. Original painted dial has had some touchup to repair flaking paint, but the color doesn't quite match the original. The dial reads "Daniel Pratt's Son, Boston". This firm existed from 1895 to 1916. Hands, pendulum and bottom tablet are original. The movement is signed with Eastman logo. The pendulum hold down board is probably a replacement. It is likely that this clock was produced at 64 Warner St, Roxbury; in 1895 Joseph Eastman purchased the land for his factory in Chelsea that eventually became the first Boston Clock Co of Maine, and ultimately Chelsea Clock Co. Height 34 inches
