C.1890, French, Perpetual calendar, thermometer and barometer, open escapement, black marble mantel clock, 8-day. Condition: Black marble case is in pretty good condition with some small chips on the sharp edges and a repair to a cracked segment in the base. Porcelain chapter ring to the clock movement dial has hairline cracks, while the center area is fine. The calendar and barometer dials are perfect. The mercury thermometer is broken and the back indicator plate has hairline cracks and a repair. The wooden access door to the calendar mechanism is a replacement (well done). The calendar mechanism has been designed to compensate for February and does change to the next month on day 28. Height 15.5 inches
