Condition: Oak and oak veneered case in very nice condition with original grungy finish; minor scrape to finish around bezel latch. Original painted dial exceptionally nice for a Seth Thomas with some surface dirt. Hands and pendulum are original. Original gilding around lower door has minor wear; door has been relieved to cure a bind, on the inside with a knife; does not show with door closed. This exact Globe model is illustrated in the 1921-28 Seth Thomas catalog, and reproduced in Tran Duy Ly's 3rd edition, page 322. Whether you prefer to call it a World or Globe, it is still a good original clock. From an estate in Western Mass. Height 32 inches
