C.1880, English, Large 2-fusee wall clock, 17" chapter ring. Condition: This case started out life as a timepiece, but was upgraded with a fine quality time and strike movement, which explains the extra hole in the dial (conversion was well done, except for the empty hole below hand shaft). Stripped mahogany and figured mahogany veneered case with inlay is in very nice condition with some of the brass inlay missing. Some small veneer chips. The lock for the bottom door and the brass flower inlay for that damaged corner are in a bag inside the case. The numerals look to have been strengthened on the original painted surface. The hands are original. The heavy cast brass bezel is original. Height 32 inches
