C.1890, German, Muller and Co., 3-tr, Westminster chime on large flat wire gongs bracket clock.
Condition: Walnut and walnut veneered case in very good condition with veneer loss on the base. There are shrinkage cracks in a couple of places and some separations where two moldings join. The composite brass dial is in very nice condition with just a little tarnish to the silvered chapter ring. The minute hand does not match. The high quality heavy plate movement that is comparable to a Winterhalder and Hofmeier is in very nice condition, but will need to be serviced. The movement chimes on 4 gongs and strikes the hour on a large gong. The clock lacks a pendulum. The center finial is missing. The rose logo stamped on the movement backplate can be found in the "Clock-Watch Trademark Index European Origin" by K. Kochmann, 1981, pg 54. Lots of potential in this large clock. Height 23.5 inches
