SIZE: 24" by 16" by 5" with an 11" dial MAKER: Seth Thomas, Thomaston CT DESCRIPTION: These clocks with Arabic dials were generally found in small Rail Road Stations. The clock is 100% original, no alterations or changes. The signed Seth Thomas I23D movement is of a week duration without strike. The movement was professionally rebuilt, original Geneva stops are in place (overwind protectors), the clock runs and keeps accurate time. Strong original finish with a warm deep patina. The case is solid oak and has been cleaned and waxed. All brass parts were polished and sealed. The original enameled zinc dial has minor paint loss, a replacement has been placed on top of the original. It is not glued to the original dial, there fore it can be easily removed. These zinc dials commonly have these problems because of expansion and contraction of the zinc due to heat and cold, causing the enamel to fall off. The 4th photo shows the original dial.
