Lenzkirch Wall Clock Signed Movement and Case Unusual Small Size

Pristine Lenzkirch wall clock, original finish walnut case, week duration, hour and half hour chime. CIRCA: 1870-1875 SIZE: 33" by 10 1/4" by 6 1/4", 5" dial MAKER: Lenzkirch, Germany CONDITION: Near mint, 100% original, original finish, movement, pendulum, dial, hands, wall stabilizers, all five wood finials. No new wood. All brass parts have been polished and sealed. The brass movement has been professionally restored, it is a week duration with a very pleasing hour and half hour chime. The double sunk porcelain dial is mint. As is the beat indicator and porcelain pendulum insert. The original finish has been cleaned and 3 coats of cabinet wax applied. This little guy sparkles. DESCRIPTION: Not all Lenzkirch clocks have a signed case and movement. It is a real plus to have both. The clock is an early small transitional case designed by Lenzkirch. This very thin and delicate case has book-matched walnut veneers over pine. There is no veneer damage. The original finish is strong. The color and grain is excellent. The clock also comes with the original Lenzkirch key. The movement is signed and serialized, "544142". The back of the case is also marked Lenzkirch. There are no negatives with this rare advanced collectors clock. Lenzkirch is considered by the antique clock collectors community to be the very best to come out of Germany. Ultra-precision movements with well executed and well balanced clock cases.
