Wall Clock 30-Day New Haven Satern 100% Original Wall clock, 30-day, New Haven Saturn model, circa 1900, 100% original. Size is 35" x 6" x 15 " wide at the top. The original dial is 11". The maker is the New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Connecticut. Condition is pristine, 100% original. The movement is signed and is original to the case, also original are the dial, hands, 2 piece pendulum stick, brass pendulum bob, brass beat indicator and there is still a partial label on the back. The solid oak case has been professionally refinished and has a beautiful oak grain. The case is structurally sound, no separations, no new wood. The month duration, time only, double wind movement has been professionally rebuilt. The clock runs and keeps accurate time. For a 30 day, this is a very strong running clock with good pendulum amplitude. The original paper dial lifted on the left side. We had to make a razor cut in the paper to inject glue. See photo.The case has a locking feature on the bottom door. This feature was only found on clocks which were in public buildings, such as banks, courthouses or train depots. New Haven made very few and only for a short period of time relative to their counterpart by Seth Thomas.
