New Haven Clock Company TAMPICO' 30-day wall regulator
"THE TAMPICO" is the trade name assigned to this 30-day wall regulator by the New Haven Clock Company in Connecticut when they Patented this handsome clock in the United States on January 19th, 1892. The U.S. Patent date is stamped into the brass front plate of the movement as well as the British Patent date that reads: PATD ENGLAND Dec. 6th, 1883.The reason for two Patents is that the New Haven Clock Company had offices and a sales headquarters in England and they wanted to protect their designs and clocks from copy infringement in that country as well as here in the USA. The NEW HAVEN CLOCK COMPANY- TRADE MARK logo is also stamped into the brass front plate of the mechanism. This solid Oak cased clock is a full 44" tall and makes quite a handsome appearance on the wall. The long, wood-stick pendulum allows the clock to keep excellent time throughout its month-long period of operation. The label on the back of the clock (see photograph) retains enough of its original wording to identify this as the TAMPICO. There is only a wee bit of discoloration on the paper dial cover and a slight rub on the brass pendulum 'bob'. Look at that lovely embossed 'crown' on the top of the case...it completes the 'look'of this fine clock. Overall...this one rates at least a NINE (on a scale of ten)!!! It's going to look great on its next owner's wall. Height: 44 in. (111.76 cm) Depth: 6 in. (15.24 cm) Width: 16 in. (40.64 cm) Weight: 20
