The RUBY by Waterbury Clock Company.
The classic style of this Waterbury RUBY made it one of their more popular shelf or mantle clocks. The eight-day clock mechanism includes a full strike on the hours. The movement has been professionally cleaned and runs and strikes well. An original metal dial retains its colorful painted Blue spandrals (corners) and the mirror below the dial is also original to the clock. A minor break below the wood finial has been solidly repaired and is for all intents and purposes invisible except upon minute examination.'RUBY' shelf clocks always included a double label...one applied to the inside cross-frame of the door which reads: "Patented August 30, 1870"; and the other inside the back of the case which includes the Waterbury Clock Company name and instructions for operating the clock (see photographs). The bright spot on our photograph of the clock face is a reflection of the camera flash. Original hands complete the attractions of this very handsome clock. As with our other clocks, we have priced this one well below most found on the internet and in antique shops. Compare prices and we believe you will always find ours to be lower and the quality higher than most. Height: 18 in. (45.72 cm) Depth: 5 in. (12.70 cm) Width: 11 in. (27.94 cm) Weight: 2
