Terry Clock Company 8-day wall clock with calendar, Time Only.
The Terry Clock Company had locations in 1855 in Winsted, Connecticut and later in 1868 in Waterbury, Connecticut and finally around 1880 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The movement in this clock is signed (stamped into the brass front plate) TERRY CLOCK COMPANY PITTSFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS. Note in our photograph, the unusual design of the clean brass movement including a calendar mechanism. The dial paper says TERRY CLOCK COMPANY below the numeral six and has the TCC logo in the center. The dial is so clean, I question if it is as old as the case, but it has the correct markings and matches the movement as well, so in any event, it's a winner! The eight-day mechanism runs well and the calendar advances properly each day. This is a hard-to-find maker and clock and in excellent condition. Height: 21 in. (53.34 cm) Depth: 4 in.
