Dutch "Tail Clocks" are becoming harder to find. Many have been sent back to Holland over the past several years where a growing interest by the Dutch in their own clocks has been developing. This handsome 'STAARTKLOK' or "tail clock" (in English) has the customary pair of Herald Angels on the bonnet blowing their horns and Atlas in the center of the crest holding the universe on his shoulders. The 30-hour brass movement has been cleaned and runs well. It is wound once a day by pulling the brass chain which hangs in front of the tail. The pendulum 'bob' can be seen as it swings back and forth inside the case..through the small window at the lower portion of the tail. Height: 52 in. (132.08 cm) Depth: 8 in. (20.32 cm) Width: 14 in. (35.56 cm) Weight: 25
