The Terry company was acquired by Russell and Jones about 1889, and this same clock is pictured in their catalog of that date. This clock came to us with a collection of outstanding clocks from Oregon where it had been in one family for almost 50 years. As far as I can tell the clock is almost perfect considering its age, metal is all polished, full label inside, original dial, 4 side glasses, very ornate trim top and bottom, finials all original. It is 8 day, time only, running superbly. We rarely get a Terry clock as original and in this condition. See Ehrhardt, Clock Identification and Price Guide, page 89.
