We usually have these in walnut, this is an oak case which is somewhat rare. The case has been refinished just enough to look good. There is still some black in the nooks and crannies that would have been nearly impossible to remove. The inside backboard has the dark wall paper covering, glass is original, as is the dial, hands, pendulum, all the finials and other wood parts. The only thing missing that we see is whatever label may have been on the back. This is an 8 day, time, strike, and alarm, movement, clean and running. Strikes half hours on a gong and alarms on a nickel bell. Ly-Ansonia No. 1776.
