Bundy Time Recorder, made by the Bundy Manufacturing Co., Binghampton, NY. Bundy Mfg. Co. was the first time clock maker and began business 1889.

They sold to International Time Recording in 1900. The movement and dial are signed Seth Thomas. The dial is signed, "Time Movement Made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. USA". The movement is either No. 40 n 15 days, or No. 86 n 30 day. This clock is ca 1901 or earlier since ITR ceased using ST movements when they acquired Bundy. The time clock mechanism was removed years ago so we now have just a nice attractive wall regulator. The embossed section of the door originally had a peephole to see the time clock mechanism. The hole has been covered with a wood plate in back. On the side was a small hole where wires entered the case. The hole has been plugged. This case resembles in many ways the Bundy we sold in our June 2001 auction, No. 96. This oak case is 46 inches high, has numerous places with grooved designs, a carved top piece, and dentil molding around the top. Typical Seth Thomas pendulum and beat scale. Many Bulletin references, one is No. 296, June 1995, page 291.
