Herschede Clock Co. Hall Clock, ca 1930.
Solid mahogany case made in their cabinet shop in Cincinnati, Ohio. A Gothic style case, 78 inches high, 21 inches wide. The brass pendulum ball is 10 inches, the gridiron type with alternating steel and brass rods. The dial is 12.5 inches wide with an 11 inches silver chapter ring, etched designs in the center and all around, and raised numerals painted black. The 8-day movement is powered by 2 very heavy brass weights, chimes Westminster Chimes on 4 nickel tubes. Chime-Silent lever on the dial. We lightly cleaned the case after it arrived here, and put some Cotton Cleanser over the old original finish. All the metal was cleaned and polished, the movement checked out completely, and the clock is now in fine running condition and ready to find a permanent home.
