Bezel held to case body with four wood pegs, hinged side door to view movement, key locking door on the bottom to access the pendulum. Thick bowed glass over the 9 inches iron painted dial. Brass bezel held in place with a latch. The heavy mahogany case is only 13 inches high, but is 6 inches deep to accommodate the large cable driven fusee movement.
