Mahogany veneer case, 35.5 inches high, no veneer chips, good clean condition. Unusual broken arch top similar to a pillar and scroll top, both ears repaired. Top glass old, mirror possible replacement, lower tablet original with minor flaking. Good readable C. and L.C. Ives Bristol, Conn. Label. Wood dial crisp, some stretch marks, minute hand replaced. 8 day time and strike strap movement in good condition with cables, old pendulum and weights. Chauncey Ives and Lawson C. Ives were partners between 1830-1833 in Bristol, Conn. American Clocks, Vol. 3, Spittler and Bailey, page 161.
