English Gothic Wall Clock, ca. 1880. Very unusual 48 inches high wall clock. Front of case, door and bottom burled and crotch mahogany, side barley twist columns, finials and fancy carved crest on top, mahogany. Trap door on right top to expose movement. 11.5 inches original paint dial, old hands, glass and pendulum. 5 inches porcelain beat indicator, large hand on pendulum bob to put clock in beat. 8-day double fusee time and strike movement strikes on a cast bell. This movement is larger than an 8-day grandfather's movement. Running and striking properly. Large and different style of clock.
