E. N. Welch Clock Co. "Cabinet No. 3", ca 1889.

Utilizing the famous "Patti" movement that Welch used in some shelf model clocks. The prices on most of those models have gone thru the roof in the last few years. The movement is 8 day, strikes half hours and hours on a cathedral bell, and is running. The dial is porcelain, 2 piece, that is excellent. I do not think the polished mahogany case has ever been cleaned and it appears to have the original darkened finish. It stands 17 inches high. There are etched designs over the front. This clock is all original with no new or missing parts. Very little of the label remains on the back. Ly-Welch, pages 146-147.
