H.J. Davies shelf clock. Successor to the George Jones Co. Davies continued the tradition of making clocks just a little different than most.

This little 16.5 inches mahogany shelf clock has half columns at a 45 degree angle to the front, carved pieces top and base, and the small turned finial on top. The front pendulum access glass and frame, lifts out, not hinged. The gong base is signed, "H.J.Davies, New York". 8 day movement strikes a coil gong. There was a big label on the back, now only 5% or so, and it is not legible. With the possible exception of the pendulum bob, we believe this clock to be original.
