The case features nicely turned half columns on the door; backboard veneer is book-matched both directions; has a good looking headpiece, tail, and 6 finials. We rarely get a Vienna that we can say everything is original to the case so I will not say that here. If not original the attached pieces are sure well done and will pass muster. The case is tight and has a good clean finish. The movement is 8 day, unsigned, and strikes a coiled gong on the hours and half hours with a very pleasing sound. It is running and striking well. The pendulum, weights, bezel, and ring, are polished and in good condition. There is a very fancy 7 inches two-piece dial with a seconds bit, and is in excellent condition with no chips or hairlines. The dial is mounted in a very nice piecrust bezel. The hands are right for the dial. This is a very nice Vienna that needs nothing but a good home.
