This could be a Fashion No. 3, and here is why. One, the clock has been in the same family since purchased new. Two, the star pendulum only came on the No. 3's. Three, both springs wind counter clockwise, most Number 4's wound clockwise. Four, if this movement was used on the Number 4's a different suspension rod was used. The only reason I called it a Number 4, was the recessed seconds dial has a patent date, but the bezel is not nickel plated. It is one or the other. Walnut case 32 inches high, excellent original finish. Good gold in the incised grooves. The hands, glass, star pendulum bob, finials, and dials, are excellent and all look to be original. The clock is running and calendar changes properly. Ly- Calendar, pages 284-286.
