This is a real bronze case standing 19 inches high. It was repainted gold years ago, after the original gold finish lost its charm. All the curlicues are there, no breaks or repairs evident. When you lift the back cover you can see some minor damage to the thin metal where the door latches. No big deal and you would not even see it unless searching. The movement is 8 day, half hour gong strike, running strong. Two piece porcelain dial is perfect, open escape, excellent beveled glass, and sash. The pendulum is correct. Ly-Ansonia No. 1563.
