I cannot make out the makers signature without spending a good deal of time. Wire fusee 8-day movement, strikes a bell on top of the movement, running with the correct English pendulum. Large, and heavy, mahogany case is 28.5 inches high, held together with wood pegs, carvings and inlays are all original. Pearl inlays over the front of the case, small amount of pearl loss, mostly on the base. Iron painted dial has good paint, just the signature is fading. Both glasses are original with original putty. As usual, the English cast bezels are very heavy. Top side doors and bottom door. Bottom door does not have a catch to hold the door in place; I am using a piece of paper. No breaks or repairs on the carved sidepieces, veneer on the case is good, a place or two that has risen slightly. Long a poplar clock in England, they are now becoming poplar in the U.S. over recent years.
