This is a very unusual case with all the millwork and carving over every inch, top to bottom. It is apparent that the case is all original, no new or added parts. Some of the lumber is 1.25 inches thick, some 1 inches and .75 inches, but no less than 25 inches thick. An unusual pendulum bob being made of textured brass The movement of course is 8 day striking hours and half hours on a coiled gong, and is signed by the maker, "J.M. Bon", a Leipzig Germany maker since 1887. The 5 inches two-piece porcelain dial has a hairline, which should wash out. Clock runs and strikes as intended.
