There are four wheels before the platform. Spring barrel is 2.050 O.D. No markings on the plates inside or out. The brass case is 5.25 inches in diameter; 3.25 inches deep, hinged front bezel holds the heavy beveled glass. Very extraordinary silver dial, wind arbor in the center is surrounded by etched designs; two sets of twelvehour numbers etched around the outside. The dial turns and the time pointer remains stationary. It is running as intended. We would guess the clock was made in the 1880-1900 time period when the French were making Industrial and unusual clocks.
