This is one of half dozen or so large clocks that the collectors covet. One recently sold at Bob Schmitt's auction for $3472, that was in "as found" condition, which means it had some problems, and we have seen them sell on EBay for $4750. This large case, with statues on front and sides, is 13.5 inches high, 17.5 inches wide. The statues and top ornament are silver and all other metal ornaments are Syrian Bronze, and the iron main case was enameled black. The fancy dial has cartouche numerals, fancy hands and inner dial. The 8-day movement has been cleaned and serviced so you can expect it to be worry free for some time. This clock should be as nice as any "Georgia" out there. Ly-Ansonia, page 382-383.
