Sessions Clock Company, hanging "Regulator No. 5", ca 1912.
This is a lot of clock; big heavy oak finished case is 43 inches high, but should be 50 inches high. As my story unfolds, you will see there is a lot of good and some not so good, about this clock. The large 8 day time only movement, powered by two brass weights descending the sides, is running. In addition, the pendulum, weights, heavy-duty mounting bracket, beat scale, and most of a label on the back, are all original and in good condition. The dial was repapered correctly. Missing from the top is a simple headpiece; and the very plain base was added. It would appear the dial support is new or added to provide a solid backing. We are not sure what may have supported the dial in the original case. This clock books for $2000, if it were correct in every way. Our minimum gives you room to correct the deficiencies and be invested way below value. Ly-Sessions No. 128.
