Viennese Serpentine Regulator, ca 1860.

Another good looking serpentine case. All original except the top was carved by a master carver who copied from old Vienna originals. The carved tail is original. The nice 48 inches case was possibly restored many years ago. Key locking door is missing the catch. The door hinges out further than other Viennas. Well made 8 day movement, original to this case, is signed, "F. KUMo In Wein", or "FKUMoIn Wein". The missing letter or letters prevented me from identifying the maker. This is a grand sonnerie striking movement, and is running briskly. Two piece porcelain dial, piecrust bezel and original hands. A couple of miniscule hairlines in the dial. All the brass is polished, porcelain beat scale, brass wall stabilizers.
