High quality, well made movement was designed to run the time train a little over two days by one weight. The weight is supposed to make for more accurate timekeeping. Movement was made to the same high quality as their eight day movements. Striking portion of the movement is spring driven and will have to be wound about every 24 hours. One spring drives the quarter hour train and the other spring drives the hour train. Wood post mount. Two piece porcelain dial, flaked around the wind arbors, small hairlines at 12. Very nice piecrust bezel, proper hands for the period. The pendulum, weight, and pulley, are all fine. Mahogany case with satinwood inlay in the backboard and around the door and other portions on the 38 inches case. Missing the top but evidence indicates there hasn't been one there in a coon's age. The movement should be serviced before extended use. In nice original condition it could be worth up to $2500. It is a very good looking early clock and in its present condition should bring
